Another month, another official AoC livestream. Steven and the crew played for about 1 hour, answering a few questions along the way. They showed us a few different instances, with some boss fights, the underrealm, an elvish node, and topped it of with a quick PvP session! Spoiler: Steven did not win the PvP! I have taken several images during the stream, check them out below!

Stream starts with the amazing looking Dünheim instance, an old dwarf city that got corrupted. The monsters there are pretty strong. The visuals are great, especially when you consider this game hasn't even reached the first official alpha state (alpha 1, estimated ~Q3 2018). We also get a look at the UI, character screen, loading screens etc. Of course things might change, but it is cool to see how it looks now. Steven got some basic gear on his character, and he swaps weapons a few times during the stream from bow to staff. Remember that there are no "class locks" on the weapons. Any class can use any weapon.
Once again we can tune in on the official livestream, which is tomorrow Friday 9/2 at 21.00 (9:00 PM) UTC. The livestream was initially planned at the end of January, but got pushed back due to some issues that needed fixing first. Please post your questions in this thread and they'll pick around 10 or so to answer live on-stream. You'll have to be lucky though, as additional questions will likely not get answered. So make sure you tune in to catch the stream!
Yesterday IGN released a hands-on article featuring Ashes of Creation. Over the course of about 2 hours, creative director Steven Sharif and lead designer Jeffrey Bard, guided their reporter through the wonderful world of AoC. Now who wouldn't want that job!
They talked a bit about the nodes, that most cities have to be grown by the players, through harvesting, monster slaughter, and economic trading with caravans. Also pointed out was that the size of the Underrealm, the network of beautiful caverns we were shown in the last trailer, was about the size of the world in Skyrim. Even more shocking, when completed, this area will still only account for about 1/30th of the total game world size!

Welcome to The AoC Dungeon, a community website dedicated to the upcoming, and highly anticipated, MMORPG from Intrepid Studios: Ashes of Creation. The website is in its early beginning, but I am going to work hard on making this a great portal for AoC content
The site will feature the latest news, analytics of alpha content, dedicated forum to talk about anything, as well as own sections for Media for you to share (AoC images/videos from Alpha 0 perhaps? ), and for Resources, such as in game Guides. There will also be contests coming soon, with small AoC goodies, and bigger things such as beta packs! Stay tuned.

So the official Facebook page for AoC just posted a new video from Alpha Zero, this time showcasing the UnderRealm area. This is a first look at the pre-alpha UnderRealm and the difference of look and feel that this area will have from the world above ground. During the video you can see the amazing attention to detail, the vivid environment and lighting, simply stunning! I bet I'm not the only one eager to test it out!
Also some news about the second phase of Alpha 0, the NDA might get lifted, when it starts at the end of this month! This means that those with Alpha 0 access can stream and share from the wonderful world in Ashes of Creation. Great news for all fans, if it turns out to be true. It also provides the studio with some valuable feedback as we all can point out things that might need improvement. All to get a better game. When are we going to be able to upgrade out packs on the website?
Steven: Our web dev team is currently working on that functionality. Our expected delivery date is around the 26th of January, give or take several days, in case there's some unexpected testing areas that need to be addressed. I would safely say that around the end of this month you'll be able to see the upgrade paths for the pre-order packages.
In addition, you will also see the add on functionality available if you are a Kickstarter backer or summer campaign backer; you will have the ability to purchase the Cosmetics that are present in these pre-order packages, independent of having to purchase the package itself.
The Cosmetics that are offered are themed on a monthly basis. These cosmetics that are currently in the packages have been on a little bit longer than a month, because we haven't had those functionalities in place, but we expect once the functionalities...
Finally we can put our eyes on the complete list of classes in AoC. There are in total 64 different combinations of classes that you can chose, which is mighty impressive. There have been previous MMO games that have tried the same "primary & secondary" combo classes such as this (RIFT for example), so it will be exciting to see how this is going to work in AoC.
While your primary class will be locked, you can opt to change your secondary class if you decide to change your mind. After all, it is going to be hard knowing, before testing, which of the classes are going to be perfect for your character.
A new year has begun, and we will get to know a lot more about AoC while the Alpha tests continue throughout the year.

Another developer journal has been published, and this time Steven is focusing on the most important building in the node: City Hall. Players are able to make choices about which buildings within the walls of the Node get built. Leaders of a Node will decide which buildings they want to build, expand (level up), or eventually demolish. Are you in an economic Node where most of your citizens are only interested in gold? Then perhaps try expanding the marketplace by allowing more kiosks, or instead use those resources to build an auction house. These are decisions that change not just the literal landscape of the Node but the political landscape as well.
By giving options to the players, personalities will eventually become more apparent and unless leaders play the political game well, that well-oiled bureaucratic machine may begin to break down.

Grouping in an MMO is as important as any other feature in the game. Yet, so often it seems like an afterthought – a checkbox to tick to say that players can play together.
